The Cinematic Fractionation: The 1980's
Digging into my sandbagged blogs I present the newest entry on my personal favorite movies by decade:
Christopher Reeve as a playwright who falls in love w/ a portrait of Jane Seymour, then travels back in time to meet her.
A frozen planet, a swamp planet, a city in the clouds, infatuation, a revelation & refrigeration. The absolute best Star Wars film ever made… period.
A jet-setting archaeologist finds the lost Ark of the Covenant, loses it… finds it again… then loses it again.
An idealistic teenager takes a Delorean back in time to when his parents were teens, messes things up & races against the clock to fix it all & get “back to the future”. A classic in every sense.
Based on the classic whodunit board game, w/ an all star ensemble, witty screenplay & fast-paced direction, this movie is hilarious as bodies & suspects pile up in a remote mansion on a rainy night...
Honorable Mention:
Three out of work actors, who played western heroes on the big screen, are mistaken for the characters they portray & are hired by a small, poor village to defend them against some thugs.
